My o' my the on-air staff at your hometown stations is really something, so interesting in fact we gave them their own page. For decades our stations have been home to some of Butte radio's most memorable characters, we still have a few of them around and some new folks to introduce you to! Thank you for taking an interest not only in our radio stations, but also the great folks behind the microphone.
Our Characters at KOPR 94.1
Ron Davis started his broadcasting career in September 1979 as a part-time DJ and has been working in the radio broadcast industry ever since. In 1994, Ron stepped up to ownership, purchasing the stations from broadcasting legend, Shag Miller. You can listen to Ron’s morning show on KOPR 94.1 from 6am-12am each weekday – You will have some laughs with Ron and the Midge bringing you the Dang Noise and Wacky News! Then switch over to KBOW’s longest talkshow PARTYLINE from 1-2pm Monday through Thursday to hear Ron discuss current events and share open phones.
Ron is also the Voice of the Butte Central Maroons bringing you Play-by-Play sports broadcasts.
Brody Shields is a Butte guy who brings a local touch to his on-air show each day…..he is really here in studio on 660 Dewey Blvd. – not a voice piped in from some distant studio in other parts of the country.
Brody joined our broadcast team in 2012 and has played a key role for the past few years. Brody busted into the radio industry as a part-time DJ and he became a full-time DJ on KOPR 94.1 in early 2016. Brody brings his wit and conversation to you each weekday from Noon to 6pm on KOPR 94.1. You can request your favorite song by calling, texting or messaging Brody each weekday between Noon-1p for the KOPR LunchBox and get a chance to win a prize. Tune in and let Brody bring you great music, the KOPR Time Capsule, entertainment tidbits and local & national news.
Scott Parini, or the “Scooter,” has been with us for over a decade. Scooter is another multi-talented team member that is a “been there – done that” kind of guy. Like some of the other announcers, Scooter started out on the “overnight” shifts and eventually ended up with his own show. Scott loves music both at work and outside of work, whether the hits of today or those of the classics or oldies genre are playing, he has a diverse taste in music which makes him unique not only as a person, but also as a radio announcer. Scooter wears multiple hats and is also a radio Sales Executive here at the studios. We are lucky to have him share his oldies knowledge while listening to him during the Kopper Classics Hour from 6-7pm with crazy awesome oldies. Then just settle back and enjoy the evening show from 7- Midnight with Scooter’s great music selections along with his random banter, humor and conversation.
Multiple award-winning Shannon Sullivan-Panisko brings you new music from various artists and bands – Listen to Shannon’s New Song of the Day weekdays at 4:30pm.
